ECONOMY NEWS
- ➤ Spartech closed its factory in Muncie as layoffs affecting 125 workers began on Dec. 23, while final rounds will be completed by Feb. 13 (local officials and a manufacturing alliance are helping place affected workers in other area factories). Star Press
HEALTH NEWS
- ➤ The FDA expanded its recall on Dec. 19 for frozen shrimp sold under Market 32 and Waterfront Bistro brands due to possible cesium-137 contamination—packages were sold in Indiana stores. Consumers should safely dispose of these items. Star Press
