On Dec. 9 at Central High School, Pacers Sports and Entertainment, JAKKS Pacific Toys and the Muncie Police Department distributed toys to local children and families during the 16th annual Big Toy Giveaway — an event supported by longtime benefactors that has reached hundreds of thousands statewide.
The Delaware County Historical Society turned 100 on Friday, Dec.
5 at 2 p.m. Founded in 1925 in anticipation of the county’s centennial, the society has long preserved local history through lectures and archived records in Muncie.
Ten Indiana natives remain in contention in the NCAA volleyball tournament’s Round of 16.
Regional semifinals are Thursday and Friday; catch Creighton vs. Arizona State at 1 p.m. on ESPN2 today and Indiana vs. Texas at noon Friday (featuring local players).
Fourteen college volleyball players with Indiana high school roots have entered the transfer portal, including Notre Dame's Morgan Gaerte and Stanford's Reese Dunkle.
The portal opened on Dec. 7 and will close Jan. 5, and updates on their new placements will be shared as they develop.
