- ➤ The Light Up Muncie celebration is scheduled for 5 to 8 p.m. Thursday, Dec. 4 at Canan Commons on Walnut St in Muncie — it will feature the lighting of a community Christmas tree, a holiday lighted parade starting at 5:15 p.m., an appearance by Santa, food trucks, and a fun zone for children. - ➤ Multiple holiday events will take place in and around Muncie this season—festivals include parades, light shows, concerts, ballet performances and seasonal markets from Dec. 4 to Jan. 4.
