The Light Up Muncie celebration is scheduled for 5 to 8 p.m. Thursday, Dec.
4 at Canan Commons on Walnut St in Muncie — it will feature the lighting of a community Christmas tree, a holiday lighted parade starting at 5:15 p.m., an appearance by Santa, food trucks, and a fun zone for children.

Multiple holiday events will take place in and around Muncie this season—festivals include parades, light shows, concerts, ballet performances and seasonal markets from Dec.
4 to Jan. 4. Local venues will host free and ticketed events with food trucks, live music and themed attractions to celebrate Christmas.
Ball State University will present Menopause: The Musical 2: Cruising Through 'The Change' at Emens Auditorium on Monday, April 27 at 7:30 p.m. Tickets are on sale now via Ticketmaster, at the Emens Box Office at 1800 W.

Local sports fans can now vote for the IU Health Athlete of the Week based on high school performances from Nov.
24-29—voting is open online until noon Friday, Dec. 5, and email votes will not count.
