Eight Mid-Eastern Conference high schools have reaffirmed their commitment to the conference and will explore adding two new members to replace Eastern Hancock and Shenandoah—officials said the move builds on strong academics and competitive athletics.
On Friday night, the IHSAA held high school football sectional championships as teams across Classes 6A to 1A posted scores including Penn’s 28–24 win over Crown Point, Carroll’s 42–23 victory over Fort Wayne Northrop, and Westfield’s 23–20 overtime win over Carmel—other matchups featured shutouts and close finishes.
