Yorktown volleyball reached the final four by beating Floyd Central in a five-set match at Martinsville High School—but lost to Plainfield in the semi-state championship when the deciding fifth set ended 15–13.

The young team, coached by Stephanie Bloom, battled hard despite fatigue in two long matches.

Ball State women's basketball is set to defend its MAC championship this season with coach Brady Sallee in his 14th season and a reloaded roster featuring four returners, six international freshmen, and transfers Karsyn Norman and Bree Salenbien — a shift following the graduation of key players. They will open the season on Nov. 3 — with an away game at Arkansas State — and host a home opener on Nov. 12.
