  • Feed My Sheep Muncie will celebrate its 30th anniversary with a free Thanksgiving dinner for families at Muncie Central High School on Nov. 27. The non-profit will run a monthlong food drive from Oct. 22 to Nov. 22 and seeks volunteers to deliver meals and help prepare food—donations can be mailed to P.O. Box 145 in Yorktown.  Star Press

ENVIRONMENT NEWS

  • The Robert Cooper Audubon Society will honor five conservation heroes on Thursday, Dec. 4, at the Ball State University Alumni Center with inspiring presentations, appetizers and door prizes. The free event will run from 6 to 9 p.m.—all are welcome to attend.  Star Press

SPORTS NEWS

  • Muncie area high school football teams begin their final regular season week today ahead of IHSAA sectional play—matchups include Shenandoah versus Monroe Central and Muncie Central visiting Lafayette Jeff while The Star Press provides live score updates. This week-long schedule sets the stage for crucial games that could shape the upcoming playoff brackets.  Star Press
  • Muncie Central played Lafayette Jeff and lost 55-22 on the road but narrowed the gap to 19-15 at halftime—finishing a 5-4 regular season, its first winning record since 2016. The Bearcats will travel to Marion for the first playoff round on Oct. 24.  Star Press
  • Delta girls soccer won 2—0 against Oak Hill to advance to the regional championship after freshman Avery Jarrells scored twice and freshman Adoree Smith made a key defensive play— the team will face Culver Academies today at 4 p.m. at Concordia Lutheran High School in Fort Wayne.  Star Press
