- ➤ Ball State football defeated defending MAC champion Ohio by a final score of 20 to 14 in their conference opener on Oct. 4 and snapped a five game losing streak to the team dating back to 2012. Nathan Voorhis recorded a career high 3.5 sacks and quarterback Kiael Kelly threw a 43 yard game winning touchdown pass to Qian Magwood with less than a minute remaining—adding momentum as the Cardinals will face Western Michigan on Oct. 11.
