  • Muncie has a long history with vampire media—starting with 1909 burlesque dance shows and early silent films that captured local imaginations. The Cornerstone Center for the Arts will show George Romero’s Night of the Living Dead on Oct. 15 at 6:30 p.m.—a classic tribute to the city’s enduring love for horror.  Star Press

  • Caitlin Hancock, who served as interim CEO since May, has been named the permanent president of Forge ECI following a nationwide search — she will lead the group to implement $50 million in investment projects and expand its team.  Star Press

  • The League of Women Voters of Muncie-Delaware County will host a meeting on October 11th at 10 a.m. at the Unitarian-Universalist Church — featuring George Wolfe, professor emeritus at Ball State University once named among the 101 most dangerous academics in America; admission is free.  Star Press
