CULTURE NEWS

  • The Muncie Arts and Culture Council announced four public art projects funded with $500,000 from ARPA that will be installed in phases from late 2025 through early 2026—covering works like a Habitat for Humanity gathering space and a mural at ArtRize in key neighborhoods.  Star Press

SPORTS NEWS

  • Ball State basketball has released its full 2025-26 season schedule. The schedule shows a home opener against Louisiana in the MAC-Sun Belt Challenge and road games against Wisconsin, Evansville, and Indiana State along with many Mid-American Conference contests.  Star Press
  • Ball State football is set to improve its passing defense with new defensive backs coach Ray Smith—renowned for his energetic coaching—and returning cornerbacks Willizhuan Yates and Eric McClain. The team added transfers Roman Pearson and Joedrick Lewis and will begin its season on Aug. 30 in an in-state road game as it aims to reverse last season's struggles.  Star Press
