- ➤ A Muncie woman (54-year-old Tamela Jean Hollingsworth) was found guilty on Aug. 20 of trafficking in meth and fentanyl (nearly 2 pounds of meth and 52 grams of fentanyl were found in her car) and her sentencing is set for Sept. 15. Star Press

- ➤ The Coalition of Women’s Organizations will host its 33rd annual Women’s Equality Day program at 5 p.m. Tuesday, Aug. 26 at Muncie City Hall to celebrate the 19th Amendment and honor community leader Vivian Conley—by recognizing five local women for their contributions to education, civil rights, and community service. The free event will highlight ongoing local leadership and the legacy of the women’s suffrage movement. Star Press
