Last week, heavy rains caused the White River to crest at 18.64 feet—the highest level in 89 years—triggering localized flooding in multiple neighborhoods.

Ball State football is set to use a committee of running backs this season (veteran TJ Horton, redshirt freshman Jalen Bonds, and transfers Elijah Jackson and Johnny Thompson Jr are expected to contribute) as the team prepares to rely on its deep backfield to boost its running game in Muncie.
Ball State kicker Brody Boehm was named to The Athletic’s Freaks List after showing strong athletic skills such as a 41-inch vertical jump and long field goals.
He will compete for the starting role this season after missing last season with an injury.
