  • L&J Manufacturing Solutions has opened its new headquarters and production facility at 1001 S. Council St. in Muncie, investing over $1.5 million in a renovated site that will initially hire up to 15 employees—company leadership plans to expand operations in the next five years.  Star Press

CRIME NEWS

  • Two Delaware County parents were arrested on suspicion of neglect after their 2-month-old baby suffered catastrophic injuries including multiple broken bones at an Indianapolis hospital on Aug. 1 — investigators suspect severe child abuse.  Star Press

GOVERNMENT NEWS

  • Indiana is now offering a blackout license plate today for eligible vehicle owners who can purchase it online, at kiosks, or in person—this black plate with a white border costs $45 with extra fees for personalization and will arrive about 30 days after approval.  Star Press

  • Monroe Central football coach John Hochstetler shared his vision for the upcoming 2025 season (he aims to boost team play) during a preseason interview and outlined plans to strengthen the team.  Star Press
