🎭 Culture
Muncie's Creative Corridor project received a $4 million READI 2.0 Arts and Culture Award — the funding will boost theater renovations and public gateways downtown.
The initiative, managed by The Community Foundation of Muncie and Delaware County with more than 25 partners, aims to strengthen local arts and cultural connections.
Downtown Muncie hosts the monthly First Thursday Gallery Walk on Aug.
6 from 5 to 8 p.m. — the event features gallery exhibits, live music, vendors, a Garfield-themed tattoo flash at 111 Arts Gallery and a lasagna-eating contest at Madjax across multiple downtown venues.
🏥 Health
The Indiana Department of Health reported over 1,000 cases of cyclosporiasis since May, including 98 in Marion County and high counts in several nearby counties.
