Muncie's Three Trails Music Series will host Cristina Vane at a free outdoor concert at Canan Commons on Aug.
8 at 7 p.m., with local act Lovesick Moan opening the show. The event highlights downtown venues near the White River Greenway and Cardinal Greenway.
🌲 Environment
The Robert Cooper Audubon Society built a chimney swift tower at Red-tail Land Conservancy’s Dutro-Ernst Woods yesterday to give local swifts a new nesting spot.
The project (supported by Josie and Geoff Fox) helps slow the decline in their numbers.
🏈 Sports
Former Purdue defensive end and longtime NFL player Ryan Kerrigan, a Muncie native, joins Big Ten Network for the upcoming season after playing for Washington and Philadelphia.
He earned All-American honors at Purdue and helped lead an upset over No. 7 Ohio State.
