Minnetrista Museum & Gardens received a $5 million grant from Lilly Endowment to upgrade its gardens, archives and visitor spaces over the next three years.
The upgrades will enhance outdoor access, protect historic artifacts and include a planned Bob Ross Traveling Exhibition.
🏛️ Government
Indiana historic vehicle owners can display authentic vintage license plates that match their car's model year through a state program announced on Car Collector Appreciation Day.
The program applies to vehicles 25 years and older and requires an inspection at a local BMV branch.
🏈 Sports
Eleven Delaware County legends will be inducted into the Athletic Hall of Fame on Saturday, July 25 at the Ball State Alumni Center.
The event, sponsored by Crown Pointe Communities, includes a banquet and a golf outing (starting Friday, July 24) and will honor Kaye Harrell with the Lightbody Award.
The America 250 project highlights Indiana high school basketball teams that fell short of state titles, detailing key near-wins from the Class Era (1998 to 2025) and featuring teams like Anderson, Lawrence North and Muncie Central whose contests shaped Hoosier Hysteria.
