EDUCATION NEWS

  • Indiana public universities cut or consolidated about 400 degree programs after the Commission for Higher Education announced the changes on June 30 in response to a new state law that ties program continuation to minimum graduate counts. Many faculty and staff warned that the cuts may limit academic freedom + reduce the breadth of the liberal arts, while state leaders said the changes will better match programs with workforce needs.  Star Press
