Ball State University approved no increase in student tuition and fees for academic years 2025—26 and 2026—27 at its June 13 meeting and also adopted a strategic plan for 2025—30 to guide future investments.

University leaders say the actions highlight the school’s commitment to responsible financial stewardship.

Ball State University will host a groundbreaking ceremony at 4 p.m. on Tuesday, June 17 at North and Martin streets to celebrate the launch of the Village South residential development — a project that will include 17 attached townhomes, eight single-family homes, and new green space. The development is part of a public partnership with city leaders and private developers, and the first homes will be available in 2026.

After losing his home in a fire on June 1, Shenandoah catcher Ashton Renz played in the sectional championship on June 2—leading his team to a 6–2 win as teammates and the community rallied around him.

The Raiders also clinched a regional win on June 7 and will face Evansville Mater Dei next as they aim for a historic state tournament run.
