  • Facing Middletown will kick off on June 6 (12:30 p.m.) at (Madjax Makers Force, 514 E. Jackson St.) as community leaders and partners start a project to create a documentary and book on what a good life in Muncie means; residents will be able to join and share ideas until Sept. 1.  Star Press

SPORTS NEWS

  • Voters can now choose their favorite athlete for The Star Press IU Health Athlete of the Week covering May 26—June 2; nominees include top local performers in track, baseball and softball. Voting remains open until Saturday, June 7 at noon — you may vote as many times as you like.  Star Press
  • A study of Indiana All-Stars boys basketball shows that over 1,000 players have been selected from state schools since 1939. Marion has produced the most All-Stars —24— while Muncie Central follows with 22.  Star Press
  • Since the IHSAA sanctioned girls basketball in 1976, over 630 Indiana players have joined the All-Stars showcase against Kentucky — the school-by-school list reveals Ben Davis and Lawrence North tied with 15 selections each.  Star Press
