Yorktown Softball defeated Jay County in an IHSAA sectional semifinal at Connersville High School on Thursday, May 28.

Six East Central athletes and one relay team have earned spots in the IHSAA boys track state finals scheduled for Saturday, June 6 at North Central High School in Indianapolis – New Castle's Lucas Eaton and Wapahani’s Grady Mahaffey led the regionals with strong showings.

Wes-Del’s softball season ended with a loss to Southwood in the IHSAA Class 1A Sectional 55 championship on Friday, May 29 at Wes-Del Junior/Senior High School.
