Richmond native Danni Kelly, a wildlife biologist and graduate of Richmond High and Ball State, appeared on Discovery Channel’s Naked and Afraid after a sudden call sent her to survive 14 days in the Belize jungle.

She held a watch party at Red Front Pizza & Grill—where local fans celebrated her adventure and cheered her eligibility for longer survival challenges.

Union Community Schools filed a lawsuit on May 8 against Gov. Mike Braun to block a law that will close the district in 2027—arguing that the policy will violate students' right to a free and appropriate education—and warning that by August 6, 2025, students will begin school with empty classrooms.
