- ➤ IU Health’s poll for the high school Athlete of the Week remains open until noon Friday, May 8. Voters can pick from 10 nominees, including reigning champion Fletcher Kahle after his strong performance on April 25 that helped Muncie Central to a 14-2 win. Star Press
- ➤ On Monday, May 4, the IHSAA board voted against a 35-second shot clock for varsity games submitted by the Indiana Basketball Coaches Association with only one vote favoring the proposal amid concerns over cost and staffing — coaches favored the change and may reintroduce it next year. - ➤ Indiana high school athletes can now monetize their name, image & likeness after the IHSAA board approved the Personal Branding Activity rule on Monday. The guideline lets student-athletes earn money independently without using school branding while following strict rules. Star Press
