  • Due to inclement weather, Ball State moved its main Spring commencement ceremony indoors to Worthen Arena on May 3 at 10 a.m.—with President Geoffrey S. Mearns and speaker Kayla Davion addressing graduates, families, and guests.  Star Press

  • Over the week of April 28 to May 3, local high school softball teams played competitive games—Blackford, Cowan, Daleville and others recorded wins and losses—and standout players like Gracie Townsend-Strait and Carley Trinidad delivered key performances in a busy season run.  Star Press
  • Yorktown boys golf won its seventh straight Delaware County title at Muncie Elks Golf Club on Saturday, May 3 as junior Nate Schaal-Deresh earned his first win with a score of 78 and all five players finished in the top 10—pushing the Tigers to their 17th county crown in 18 meets—while rival scores lagged behind.  Star Press
