📰 Economy
A new Lightcast study (fiscal 2024 to 2025) shows that Ivy Tech Community College Muncie contributed over $91 million to the local economy, supporting more than 1,362 jobs across Delaware, Henry, and Jay counties.
It also noted a strong return on investment for taxpayers and students.
🎓 Education
On Friday, Apr. 10, Ball State University’s Women of Beneficence awarded over $68,000 in grants for school gardens, teacher resources, and book clubs at the annual meeting held at the Ball State Alumni Center.
The grants will boost hands-on projects in local schools and benefit students.
🏈 Sports
Ball State basketball coach Chris Capko hired four assistant coaches and two full-time staffers for his team yesterday in Muncie.
The new staff (Pershin Williams, John Clancy, Jordan Surenkamp, Manny Dosanjh, Beruk Asfaw and Ellis Spar) will help with recruiting, player development and analytics.
