- ➤ Muncie Mission raised over $207,000 from its 22nd annual Walk A Mile In My Shoes fundraiser held on Feb. 21 along Walnut Street, with 1,262 walkers and 96 teams including more than 200 Ball State students, and the mission will host its Bill Gaddis Memorial Golf Tournament on Sept. 3. Star Press
- ➤ Cardinal Greenways announced its Kitselman Trailhead project enters its final phase today, realigning the trail under Indiana 32 on Muncie's east side with reopening slated for late fall. The nonprofit is also partnering with Taylor University to begin closing an 18-mile gap and repairing segments in Richmond and other counties. Star Press

- ➤ Last Saturday, March 21, the historic Muncie Fieldhouse hosted its first IHSAA semi-state basketball game since 1999, where Westview beat Bishop Luers 69-48 amid large, enthusiastic crowds. Fans and local experts hope the IHSAA will designate the venue as a permanent host given its rich history and recent renovations. Star Press
- ➤ Ball State football announced its 2026 schedule with the season opening at Ohio State on Sept. 5 and a homecoming game against Sacramento State on Oct. 24 at Ball State Stadium. The schedule also features three nationally televised midweek MACtion games in November. Star Press
