  • The YWCA Central Indiana finalized its purchase of the former Garfield Elementary School in Muncie yesterday, launching the first phase of its "Yes, ME!" capital campaign. The building will be transformed into a community hub offering housing support, education and economic stability programs for women and families.  Star Press
  • Sigma Nu and Phi Mu members took whipped cream pies for donations at Ball State in support of the Animal Rescue Fund (a local animal rescue cause). The event brought the campus community together to raise funds and awareness for animals in need.  Star Press

SPORTS NEWS

  • Fans can vote in The Star Press Boys Basketball Player of the Year Fan Vote brought by IU Health until noon Friday, Mar. 27 — each phone, tablet and computer counts as one vote per hour. The choice of 10 nominees from local teams will help decide the award.  Star Press
