Officials announced on Feb.
27 that the Muncie Mall—except the Buyer’s Market section from a 1997 expansion—will be demolished once remaining tenants leave; demolition of JCPenney and Sears may begin in March, and a national wholesale club and other retail spaces are expected to replace the site along McGalliard Road.
