- ➤ Second Harvest Food Bank will host tailgate food giveaways from Feb. 10 to 13 in East Central Indiana+ sites include Marion, North Manchester, Muncie, New Castle, and Winchester, with no ID needed and distributions available while supplies last. Star Press

- ➤ Indiana Poet Laureate Curtis L. Crisler will lead a live round-robin poetry reading at Ball State’s Bracken Library (Room 104) on Feb. 11 at 6 p.m. The free event will feature public participation and available campus parking after 5 p.m. Star Press
SPORTS NEWS
- ➤ Tayshon Bardo, a three-star wide receiver from Elkhart who transferred from Penn High School, committed to Ball State on Thursday, Feb. 5 — after previously choosing Wisconsin in March 2025. He logged 20 catches, 394 yards, and four touchdowns in six games at Elkhart and will join fellow native Char'rese Breveard in the Cardinals' locker room. Star Press
